Deep Leg Track (Deflection Track)

Deep Leg Deflection Track

OEG Deep Leg Track also known as Deflection Track is used to accommodate the building deflection at the head of the wall. Deep Leg Track is used in conjunction with OEG Deflection Clips. In interior drywall framing walls, deflection clip is installed flush with the top of the stud to connect Deep Leg track with the wall.

Structural designers should carefully develop the Deflection Track details, depending upon the specific deflection requirements of the building. Deflection Track is not to be used in axial load bearing walls. It is mandatory to provide bridging at the top of the wall when using deflection tracks.

Deep Leg Track is also available in structural grade to use in various applications like exterior curtain wall systems.
