OEG Structural Stud

Superior Stud - ICC-ES Approved

OEG Structural Studs are general purpose framing component used in a variety of applications including load bearing interior and exterior walls, non-load bearing exterior curtain-walls, floor joists and headers, roof trusses, rafters and purlins. It has precut knockouts for ease and speed of installation of utilities, water pipe conduits and electrical wiring as well as for wall bridging. OEG Structural Studs have greater resistance to rust formation, meaning your structure will last longer thus saves money in the long-term.

Standard punch-out sizing is 1½" x 4" in studs 3 5/8" and wider. Studs smaller than 3 5/8" will be shipped unpunched, unless specified otherwise at the time of order. Custom size punch-outs and custom placement of punch-outs are available upon request. Holes are punched starting at 12" from the lead edge with additional punch-outs at every 24", with the last punch-out at 24" before the lead edge.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Strucural studs are general purpose framing component used in a variety of applications from lighter curtain wall applications to very heavy load and spanning conditions. They are used in structural applications that need vertical strength for load bearing, standard joist applications where adequate strength will do as well as in floor joist assemblies and heavy loading conditions. Studs with a smaller flange of 1 3/8" are used to support cladding materials like stone, metal, tile, etc..

OEG Structural Studs meet or exceed ASTM A370, A1003, C754, E90, and E119. Structural framing is produced to meet or exceed ASTM C955. Galvanized sheet steel meets or exceeds requirements of ASTM A1003.
